Hare brooch in pewter.

Made in the Highlands of Scotland by Paul Szeiler.

This brooch depicts the hare as it runs across a field at full speed.

Solid brass brooch pin.

The original design was sculpted in wax on a Perspex sheet and then a rubber silicone mould is made of the wax original.

Pewter is melted in a cast iron mini crucible and poured into the mould.

This casting is then fetelled and filed and a brass brooch pin is soldered onto the back. It is then polished in a tumbler and finished by hand polishing on a polishing wheel.
